Mollie Engelhardt
Mollie is the executive chef and founder of Sage Regenerative Kitchen in Los Angeles and a leader in the Regenerative Agriculture movement with 200 acres at Sovereignty Ranch in the Texas Hill Country. Her mission is to produce healthy food from healthy soil for her communities. Mollie is the mother of five, a film producer, poet, and thought leader examining the connections of humanity, family, soil, food, and culture, constantly questioning “Where do we go from here?” She is passionate about health freedom, natural birth, breastfeeding, regenerative agriculture, community, and humanity’s place in partnership with nature and God. She is the author of Debunked by Nature: How a Vegan Chef Turned Regenerative Farmer Discovered That Mother Nature is a Conservative.
Carol Gifford
Carol is a graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture in 2007, Certification in Veterinary Chinese Herbology in 2012, and then learned how to provide chiropractic and spinal manipulation for animals. She is one of only 19 veterinarians in the world to earn a Fellowship to the American Academy of Veterinary Acupuncture. She continues to learn about alternative modalities in order to provide comprehensive care for her patients. She currently resides in central Ohio and is the veterinarian who treated celebrity cat Schroeder Popper for kidney disease and extended his life for many years. She now takes care of Winston, who moved into the Popper household in 2023.
Alan Cassels
Alan has been immersed in pharmaceutical policy research and healthcare journalism for decades. His niche is in exposing the large gap between marketing and science around prescription drugs, medical screening and treatment. His books include Selling Sickness: How the World’s Biggest Pharmaceutical Companies are Turning us All into Patients, The ABCs of Disease Mongering: An Epidemic in 26 Letters, Seeking Sickness: Medical Screening and the Misguided Hunt for Disease, andThe Cochrane Collaboration: Medicine’s Best Kept Secret. In most of his writings Cassels swings his axe against the folly of practitioners and profiteers increasingly selling us tests, treatments and theories of disease that threaten to turn more and more of us into patients.
Derek Blumke
Derek is a subject-matter expert in mental health, medication safety, and policy reform. As the Veteran Policy Fellow at the Grunt Style Foundation (GSF), Derek leads national efforts to reduce suicides and other adverse drug events through the implementation of safer psychiatric practices for service members, veterans and all Americans.
In 2008, Derek co-founded Student Veterans of America (SVA) where he led the organization’s advocacy efforts to help pass the Post 9/11 GI Bill through Congress. He also was a founding member of the National Action Alliance on Suicide Prevention; served as the founding director of a national mental health program, The VITAL Initiative, for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; was the Editor of Veterans and Military Families for the mental health website, Mad in America; and was a startup technology entrepreneur in New York City. Most recently Derek served as the chief operations and financial officer for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Department of Michigan (VFW-MI).
In addition to Derek’s work with the Grunt Style Foundation; he also chairs the Psychotropic Drug Safety Subgroup of the Michigan Governor’s Challenge; serves as the State Legislative Director for VFW-MI; and as a National Legislative Councilman with the American Legion. Lynne Richardson, D.O. is a doctor of osteopathic medicine specializing in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Her areas of expertise inpatient wound care, evaluation and treatment of spinal cord injury, traumatic and neurologic brain injury, rehabilitation of neurologic disorders, musculoskeletal medicine, nonsurgical spine disorders and electrodiagnostic studies. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and was appointed Chief Resident at Ohio State University.
